             Mini Marathon Rules: (HERRILL Lanes reserves All Rights)

BOWLERS  – Please read ALL Rules carefully – Failure to abide by any of the following rules may result in your DISQUALIFICATION.

 

1).This is a Handicap Singles Tournament that is OPEN to BOTH

     Men and Women Sanctioned League Bowlers.

2).This is an amateur event in which if a situation occurs that is not    

     covered in these rules it will be governed by the USBC Rules.

     Courtesy  to other bowlers is expected and will be enforced.

     Rude, loud or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.

3).Entry Fee is $ 40.00. Fee must be paid in Cash ONLY. Prize money   

     will be returned 100 % - 1 out of every 8 entries will place.

4).Bowlers must present USBC Cards upon request and committee 

     reserves the right to request photo I.D. from any participants.

5).Entry must be prepaid and reserved no later then Sat. April 26th  at  

     7pm.

6). WALK IN ENTRIES if space permits must be done @ 12noon promptly

     at a FEE of $50.00 with the additional $10.00 going towards prize fund.

7).The handicap will be 80 % of the difference of your average and a

     225 max. If a bowler has a higher average then 225 he may bowl but   

     must take a negative handicap. (i.e. Your average is 240 – you take

     225 the max and subtract it from 240.  That results in 15 pins times

     80 % = (- 12 pins per game)

8).To enter bowler must use their highest  sanctioned book average from last year. If bowler doesn’t have an average from last year they may use this years average with a minimum of 21 games bowled as of Sat. April 26th . To be eligible bowler must bring in an up to date League Sheet with secretaries signature of approval and a corresponding telephone number for secretary prior to Sat. April 19th . This will allow tournament committee ample time to verify submitted average.

9). Bowlers will bowl a 4 game format across 8 lanes. Tournament

     scorers will be available to enter names , handicap and to assist in

     any scoring issues that occur. After each game bowled tournament scorekeeper will fill in scores accordingly and take top sheet to tournament table. Bowlers will move to their right to the lanes that appear on next copy of recap sheet. After all scores are tallied after each game top 5 positions will be announced and a chart will also be available for bowlers to view where they place in the standings.

10) After 4 games are completed the TOP 5 Bowlers will compete head to head in a stepladder finals. 5th will bowl 4th with the winner bowling 3rd with the winner bowling 2nd and the last game against the tournament leader. During the stepladder finals after each match the bowlers will move to their right for the next match of competition.
